1920s camping at The Farm at Prophetstown

This past weekend we went on a three hour road trip to Indiana to camp with two other families at the farm at Prophetstown State Park. Each family had four kids, totaling twelve. Seven girls and five boys aging 10 years to 10 months. Oldest to youngest: Eleanor, Philip, Emmelynn, Cora, Merryn, Wolfgang, Honora, Rufus, Jack, Amos, Agnes and Penelope. We could not have asked for a better location and a friendlier staff. The kids were able to roam the farm freely without worry and had such a blast. We said good bye to bedtime routines and let them play far past dusk. The event was open to the public on Saturday and Sunday where people could roam the farm and check out their old farmhouse, their animals, our tents and gear and a few model T's. Saturday night there was a barn dance with a square caller. We played vintage baseball and kids made strawberry sorbet. The weekend was just SO good. We can't wait to all meet up again.
